The Haertter fonds (1951-1986)

Elsa Haertter (1908 - 1995)

Journalist and photographer of German origin, Haertter lived in Italy from 1940. After the war she was an important contributor to the Grazia magazine giving it an innovative style interpreting fashion as a decisive element in communication.

The fonds is divided up into two large sections: 1. Personal diaries (81 exercise books and diaries with illustrations and collages); 2. Album (photographic collection of around 21,500 negatives, 13,500 photographic prints, mainly black and white, 5000 slides, 24 polaroids, 300 print trials.

Donated to the Associazione Moda Context Tremelloni, it has been at the Archivi Storici since August 2012.
