Opening Hours

The Gianfranco Ferré Research Center is open Monday to Thursday from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and on Friday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Fashion magazine and monographs conserved in the Gianfranco Ferré Archive are available only for on-site consultation. They are not photocopiable, but may be duplicated by own means for study and research purposes only.

For consultations, contacts with cultural foundations and institutions, and requests for loans for exhibition purposes, please send a request to centroricerca-ferre@polimi.it

Collection

The Gianfranco Ferré Research Center was established in December 2021 by Politecnico di Milano following the Ferré family's donation of the archives and headquarters of the former Gianfranco Ferré Foundation.

The archive holds approximately 22,000 original drawings including sketches and technical drawings of the designer; 15,000 runway photos; 12,000 advertising photos; 11,000 miscellaneous photos; 170 Videos; 1,600 volumes of Italian and international fashion and life-style magazines; 3,500 clothing and accessories; press reviews; texts and original notes by Gianfranco Ferré.

Staff

The Gianfranco Ferré Research Center is coordinated by the Department of Design and the Fashion in Process Research Laboratory and is part of the Libraries and Historical Archives system of the Politecnico di Milano.
