Silvano Zorzi, Viadotto di viale Certosa – Monteceneri, 1957 – 65, con Giorgio Macchi e Egidio Cantisani

Silvano Zorzi (1921 - 1994)

After graduating in Construction Engineering in 1945 from the École Polytechnique in Lausanne and Hydraulic Engineering from the Engineering Faculty of Padua University, Zorzi set up his own professional studio in 1950 specialising in reinforced concrete buildings. His work focused on designing bridges, viaducts, canals, tunnels and industrial, maritime and sports facilities characterised by structural quality and design elegance. These include the Nervi stream viaduct for the Genova-Sestri Levante motorway (1963-65), the motorway bridge over the Arno River at Incisa (1962), the bridge over the Tagliamento River at Pinzano (1968-69), enlargement work on Verona's Stadio Bentegodi (1985-89), the Gravagna viaduct for the Parma-La Spezia motorway (1990-93).

The fonds is mainly photographic and gathered into 40 black and white and colour photograph bundles.

It was donated to the Archivi Storici in January 2015.
