Gabriele Mucchi (1899 - 2002)

The fonds documents Gabriele Mucchi's architecture and design work only, while the material relating to his other painting and literary work is kept at the APICE centre at the Università degli Studi di Milano. Mucchi's architecture work began in 1926 after he graduated in engineering and finished in the early 1960s with his most significant work dating to the 1934 to 1954 period. These twenty years marked by Fascism, liberation and reconstruction were his most fertile period ranging from house to furniture design, installations to town planning.

As far as professional activities are concerned the fonds is divided up into three sections: 599 plates including sketches, executive drawings and heliographic copies; 575 photographic material items including plates, film negatives and prints, 1 model and writings including project reports, correspondence with clients and printed material.

Held at the Archivi Storici since January 2012.
