This is a fonds of materials relating to the work of architect Carlo De Carli who graduated from the Politecnico in 1934 and worked as an architect, university professor from 1948 in Interior Architecture, Furniture and Decor at the Politecnico di Milano and dean of the Architecture Faculty from 1965 to 1968. A large part of the fonds relates to his work in setting up and as member of the governing body of the Milan Triennial.

As far as professional activities are concerned the fund is divided up into three sections: 1100 designs including sketches, executive drawings and heliographic copies; 1550 photographic material items including plates (12 boxes), film negatives and prints; 700 documents including project reports, correspondence with clients and printed material gathered into 43 binders (and 1 file). His work as professor and dean of the Architecture Faculty is covered by 49 binders and 22 files while the material documenting his work at the Triennial amounts to 16 binders. There are also 7 binders relating to his dealings with furniture producing centres and 50 ring binders (plus 2 miscellaneous boxes and 1 album in a different format) containing mainly photographic material intended for a book on the history of furniture from antiquity to modern times.

Held at the Archivi Storici since January 2012.
