Please note that

  • the onsite use is allowed to Politecnico users and to external users (teachers, researchers and students from other universities or people from other organisations) who present a valid identity document and a formal request.
    Users may freely access shelves in the room 2 and 3 (monographs) and in the room 1 (journals).

  • each user may request up to 5 books on loan at the same time, for up to 2 weeks.

From workstations in the library you can access Politecnico websites, catalogues and subscribed eletronic resources (electronic journals, databases, e-books ...)

Description of the library's archives

The library owns works manily on these subject areas: science and technology, construction, technology of architecture, quantity surveying, representation, history of architecture, computer science, mathematics, physics, economics and law. 
A special section is devoted to works on the Mantova area.
Many monographs are in foreign language.

  • about 11.000 monographs, kept on open shlelves in the reading rooms 2 and 3, on the basis of the Dewey Decimal Classification.
  • 50 journals on subscription, kept on open shelves in the reading room 3
  • more than 1700 graduate theses in Architecture, Science of Architecture and in Architecture and Construction.
